Greensboro Newborn Photographer | When is the best time for Maternity Photos?

Are you expecting? Or are you trying to figure out when to get maternity photos done? Read on to find tips on when to schedule your maternity session with your photographer…

I get this question a lot: When should you have your maternity pictures taken?

I always recommend having your maternity pictures scheduled around the time you are between 28-34 weeks. This is typically the time frame when your bump is now showing but you aren’t swollen and super uncomfortable yet.

With that being said, if this is your second or third baby, you might start showing sooner and want to take them prior to this time frame. It’s really up to whatever you are most comfortable with!

Maternity photos are a great way to capture your growing bump and capture the beauty of pregnancy.

As for when to reach out to your photographer to book the session? As soon as possible!

If you want to wait until the first trimester is over, that’s usually a good time to reach out and get on their books for when you get to the 28-34 week milestone.

If you’d like to learn more about planning your dream maternity session, I’d love to chat! Come say hello and let’s see if we’re the perfect fit.
